The Besse family, is a very old Cape Cod family, early ancestors immigrated from England, around 1635, and settled in Lynn and Sandwich, MA.
In the 1860 Census: Jedidah is listed as a tailoress in Wareham, MA, living with her mother Thankful. She appears to have never married.
