GORGEOUS sewing clamp / gripper from the mid 1800s in England. This clamp is unique in that the bird's body is cast of SOLID metal. It's feet form the clamp, rather than it's upper and lower body. This is a weighty piece with beautiful detail on the plumage. Brass thumbscrew and spring in good condition.
