19th c. Berlin Wool Needlework Cavalier King Charles DOG Perforated Punch Paper
"ROVER &". Wonderful wool needlework depicting a pair of Cavalier King Charles spaniels resting on a tufted pillow. One dog sitting upright and the other resting alongside, with foliage behind. Likely adapted from a Berlin wool work pattern. 16 holes per inch. This uncommon example is in its original wood frame.
With original "Glee Krueger" 1970s return address labels on the back.
*Perforated paper, perforated cardboard, punched paper, Bristol board.
Frame: 14.75" x 10.75" x 1"
Sight: 12.75" x 8.75"
Wool work in excellent condition. Perforated paper overall very good. Small surface abrasion above flowers on left. Light surface wear to frame appropriate to age, with chips in corners.
