An absolutely charming wool needlework of a regal lion in repose. 15-stitch gauge.
Original grain painted period frame with gilt fillet.

CONDITION:
Ground loss, primarily around perimeter. Frame has loss to painted surface along top edge. Surface wear and loss of gilt to fillet. Not conservation mounted. Needlework is mounted on wood board, nailed around side perimeter. Has not been removed from frame.
